EXCLUSIVE USE

You are invited to join fifteen other gay men in an extraordinary,
relaxing Tuscan getaway, in the early spring of next year.
For the first seven days we’ll luxuriate in our own secluded
18th century Villa, just outside of Siena. The Lazy Olive is a
1700's brick and stone farmhouse with five large apartments that
have been beautifully restored and furnished with antiques, The
Villa is surrounded by a 360-degree vista of fields of wheat and
olive groves.
We’ll have five cars to share, giving us all the freedom
we need to explore Tuscany at our own pace.
A RICH CONTEXT

In Italy they have an old saying: “Il Dolce Far Niente,” which,
roughly translated, means the sweetness of doing nothing. Italians
have learned to savor life as it is and enjoy the simplicity – the
sweetness – of the moment.
In today’s harried world, dwelling in the moment is becoming
a lost art. Throughout our stay, I will enhance our experience
by guiding us through gentle, easy breathing meditations, based
on the practices of Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hahn that will allow
us to experience of Being in the present moment. Together we’ll
return ourselves to the experience of “Il Dolce Far Niente.”
Plus, two of our more talented members, Adam and Stephen, will
lead us through an intimate, humorous, connecting conversation
about the mysteries and rewards of being in a relationship…for
the long term. So if you are in a relationship, looking to be in
one, or your desire is to be single, this conversation will be
a rich experience.
A LEISURELY PACE

To help us catch our breath, when we first arrive we’ll
take pleasure in a nearby five-star Day Spa located in a former
Medici Palace. We can soak in the natural hot springs, get a massage
and relax.
Later in the week, a local gay-friendly guide will reveal the
rich history of the nearby medieval city of Siena. During our week
at The Lazy Olive we'll have the best of the Tuscan hill towns
to explore at our leisure. Bicycles, a picnic, self-paced touring…whatever
our hearts desire.
CIAO, FIRENZE!

The last two days we’ll spend in the magical renaissance
city of Florence. Our hotel is located within steps of all the
major sites. We’ll even have our own local gay guide lead
us through “From Savonarola to Michelangelo - A Walking Tour
of Gay Florence.”
The Uffizi Gallery, the Ponte Vecchio, The Accademia with Michelangelo’s
David – and much, much more.
PLENTY OF FREE TIME

For ten days, there will be lots of free time to hang out at cafés,
stroll together through villages, enjoy the evening passagiata,
take a long nap, and savor the simple pleasures of each other’s
company – and the sweetness of life!
Singles with travel companions and couples are especially encouraged,
as we will be sharing eight double rooms. Single supplements are
subject to availability and will incur an extra charge.
